History of this George family

In the year of 1987, Mary George introduced her son Chris to Donna, the tutor of Kelly, Chris’s sister, in Bellevue, WA. Chris was at his mother’s home setting up another display for Pepsi. They fell in love and got married July 8th 1988 in a catholic church in the town of Bellevue. Less than a year later, they had their first born child, Nicolette on March 20, 1989 in Lakewood, WA. After some time, they were blessed with another baby, this one named Travis. One month after his birth, they arrived in Spokane. Almost two years later Alysa was added to the family in a rather rapid fashion. Her high energy and spirits really solidified Spokane for the family. After finding a comfortable home, the George’s began their routine. Finding it easy to make things work, they decided to help those in need of child fostering. Chris and Donna knew they had magic and knew it was stronger than just the five of them. They began fostering children in their loving home.

It was such a success, they decided to “up their game.” Donna was already prepared in education, as her college days were spent educating herself about special needs education. She prepared herself as best as she could to begin expanding the family. Therin was the 1st to permanently join the family, just days before Alysa’s 5th birthday. He was welcomed into the loving home of the Georges and quickly added his unique “chipmunk” laughter to the family. The family of 6 was just not enough, the family decided to again strengthen the family bond and brought Joseph into the picture, though it took a month to get him out of the NICU or Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Three years later he permanently became a George and a great addition to the family. The George’s were finding themselves ready for any challenges in life. Now with the family growing, there was no stopping them.

Keep going, they did. Chris doubled down on their newly grown family, starting his own business, choicenet and later ipowerplant, to support them all. The family was beginning to shape into what we see today. Next to join the family was Anna. Like Nicolette, Anna was joyful and peaceful to have around. Feeling the need for some additional family flavor and not wanting the girls to be so outnumbered, Lori was added to the family. Fortunately, there was room in the family’s heart and hearth to fit Lori’s baby brother Austin, which they did. These two ready for any adventure, brought new energy to the house and family. The addition went so well with everyone, the formula for the George family had been set in stone.

Noticing now, that their family was bursting at the seams at the grace house. Even the Ford Windstar minivan just couldn’t hold them all. Things had to change and change they did. A Larger van and larger home were absolutely necessary. They needed a very large home, not just a bedroom or two. Something they could all be happy and comfortable in. They drove around and looked all over Spokane. No holds barred, the Georges were destined for bigger things. While searching for a place that was large enough and would fit them all, they came to a large, longhouse style home, and it just so happened to be unlocked, so they wandered inside to explore. On the inside they could tell the place would need a little TLC, but could be the perfect home for the George family. There was room enough for all, and the yard work could easily give them all work for years to come. The home was a prior doctor’s house, it offered enough property that everyone could grow into the humans they were destined to be. This was going to be the best place for the Georges. They immediately jumped on it and the kingdom for the Georges became a home and reality, It was destiny. Everything was falling into place.

The next siblings were sisters Nikki and Annie. Now In the past the family had added new family members as infants, as it was easy to do with the natural flow the entire family had. This time, Donna was anticipating an older child. So when the news came that Nikki and Annie needed a loving family, they were an obvious fit. They were a little older and this presented some new challenges and joys, ones that the family was excited to have. Both Annie and Nikki felt the warmth of the George family as they were welcomed in. The year 2002 found the family with accommodations and room for everyone! Each night around a single 20 person table, the family would gather and bond, making this one of the core memories for the family. Whether it was for meals, or games, the family was together and stronger than ever. Naturally the family would find themselves playing games, especially the big one invented by Chris. Note that this is when “The Game” was born. It was a game of knowledge and trivia, Chris would pick a category, then once a category was picked he would pick someone to start. That person would name a thing that would fit that category. After that the next person would also add one. Many other games were played, but none to the delight of the Georges as “The Game”.

Donna kept everyone on task and made sure the home ran smoothly. Chris added in a comic element to the family, being ever the joker. A perfect balance between strong and soft. Chris and Donna kept the family rolling along in a way that was both organized and chaotic. A favorite movie of the family became “Chevy Chase’s Christmas Vacation ”, as it mirrored their family so well. Jokes pulled from that and Austin Powers flowed through the home very fluidly. Lot of friends and family outside of the home compared them to Cheaper by the Dozen. No matter what they watched, they were together and strong, leaning on each other and learning as they grew. George family life was developing well for everyone.

The call for more family went out. Answering the call to join the family next was another pair of sisters, Kacey and Kallie. They soon became enmeshed in the chaotic family. Adjustments to balance everyone out were made and life became grandiose. Several years after Kallie and Kacey, a surprise happened. Andrew made his unexpected appearance and smoothly joined the family group. He was so friendly that he instantly blended in with the family, feeling brotherly love quickly with Therin and Joseph. Chris and Donna went above and beyond in making sure that the family was loved as much as possible. Making sure to be present for each one as they all grew their wings and flew the nest. This loving couple began rolling up the carpets and selling the extra furniture that began to get dusty. As the last child, Austin began to move his items out, Chris and Donna were figuring out what to do next. Excitedly planning on celebrating and enjoying their empty nest. Exceptional and fantastic ideas were being born. Things they had never thought of before, were now showing themselves. Should they buy an RV? Should they sell and buy a small house somewhere? Travel? What they could do was left only to their imagination. They had seen so much with their loving family in the prior years.

Chris and Donna happily opened their arms and hearts, adding Simon to the extended family as Nicolette’s husband. Nicolette was happier than she had been in years, thus he was an obvious addition. He brought a sense of playfulness and joy to the family, even going so far as to start the first George family snowball fight. Later, Travis brought the first grandchildren into the family’s life, Kyler and Karsyn. Years later he added his beautiful wife Taylor and their daughter Jenna to his small but growing family. Being the first grandchildren, Donna and Chris really felt proud to be grandparents and proceeded to spoil Kyler, Karsyn, and Jenna as much and as often as possible, congratulating each other with a high five everytime the children still wanted to stay. All of the family became stronger and better than before. Chris and Donna watched as Nikki brought Emery and Clayton into the fold adding to the insanely large family. Making grandchildren a fact.

They watched as Alysa living in Utah ran into Ethan Anderson, who later came all the way to Nevada to be with Alysa. They saw how Ethan was truly smitten. So smitten, he asked her to marry him in front of the entire family, knowing how important family was to her. The joyous advent of Joe finding Anna Rose was equally amazing. She brought Joe a calm he had been searching for. Annarose had brought Jackson and Maxwell into their loving small family. So happy about it, they added Riley Rose to the family together. Chris and Donna were there with Kacey as she grew into the strong woman she has become. Always finding her way through adversity and finding her personal path. It was to the delight of everyone in the family, when Anna found AG. AG brought Anna a matching veracity, charm, and love for life. They fit right in as a team, not unlike the original team that got all of it started. So many changes and so much growth, Chris and Donna thought they were done and ready to relax.

Until another family member found his way to their door. To Chris and Donna’s surprise, they were not done yet. After Colten found his place in the Georges loving home, it was clear the destiny set out for these two, was to be parents again. They didn’t have long after this epiphany, when their next son, Xavier, joined the family. He and Colten were an exciting addition to the family. Chris touted his new adopted sons as his personal new proud moment, letting everyone know how he already had picked out nicknames, “Rooster” and unknown. Their brotherly bond gathered strength as time went on. The house began sounding familiar again. All the dusty old things had been put away and in their place baby proofing supplies were added. With a fresh glow, the family at the Chateau le George had settled into their familiar roles as Xavier and Colton found their place among them. Unexpectedly, another was added to the family, Janice, Kallie’s first born child. She quickly filled the air with a full voice and more of the energy that was traditionally found within the family. Chris and Donna watched as Lori brought RubyAnn into the family. Making Donna a doting grandma once again. Donna and Lori became an unstoppable team in making sure RubyAnne felt the love of the Georges. Everyone had found their way into this amazing bond of two humans and the entire family was better for it.

This is a story about a family, and the two who started it all. Their strength, love and understanding built everything that the George family is known for today. These two humans created a bond so strong that 32 people have somehow gravitated towards and bonded with them. No matter what was happening in these two human lives; they had the time, patience and love to include in their family, children from all sorts of previous walks of life. These two humans have taught us how to love unconditionally, that is the real story here, thank you Chris and Donna.
